Five Areas of Wellbeing

🌈 The Five Areas of Wellbeing

At Norwood Green, we teach wellbeing through the Five Areas of Wellbeing. These help children learn how to stay mentally, emotionally and physically healthy.

💖 1. Give to Others – Showing Kindness

Children learn how small acts of kindness can make a big difference—helping a friend, sharing, or supporting someone who feels upset.

🧠 2. Keep Learning – Enjoying New Challenges

We encourage pupils to try new things, practise skills and stay curious. Finding joy in learning helps build confidence and resilience.

👀 3. Take Notice – Paying Attention

Children learn about mindfulness, noticing their feelings, understanding others' emotions, and appreciating the world around them.

🏃 4. Be Active – Moving Our Bodies

We promote being active in fun ways—through games, sports, outdoor learning and movement breaks. Being active helps children feel energised and positive

👫 5. Connect With Others – Building Good Relationships

We teach children how to make friends, work together, listen to one another and build strong, supportive relationships.

Each area helps children grow into confident, thoughtful and emotionally aware young people
