The School Day (8.55am to 3.20pm daily, 32.05 hrs per week)

Start of the School Day

Registration is at 8:55am with formal lessons starting at 9:00am daily. In the mornings, drop off at the school gates is between 8:45 and 8:55am. Only children will be allowed on site at this time, there is adult supervision on the playground.

Break-time

Break is held between 10:50 and 11:05am each day. Play equipment is available for the pupils to use.

School Lunches

Lunch time is from 12:15 - 1:05pm. Lunches are provided by WilsonJones Catering. The facility offers a balanced and varied diet.  An alternative menu for religious and dietary reasons can be provided.

Parents order their child's food a week in advance via ParentPay.

From September 2023, for the school year up until July 2024, every pupil in the school will be eligible for a free school meal.  The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced this as a cost-of-living support measure earlier this year.

As a result, Wilson Jones, our school caterer, will now provide free hot school lunches for all our children starting from 6th September 2023.

We know that some children enjoy having a packed lunch from home. Wilson Jones will now also be providing a packed lunch option for those who prefer not to have hot school lunches.

Alongside this will be a selection of salads and fresh fruit as well as the provision of water to drink.

If you do not wish to take up either of these options, you can still provide your child with a packed lunch from home. However, we would encourage all families to take up the offer of hot/cold school meals, which from September, could save families around £440 per child.

Children who bring packed lunches should ensure that the contents are wholesome and healthy.

Free meals are available to the children of parents on Universal Credit, Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance (Income based), an Income-Related Employment and Support Allowance, Child Tax Credit (providing you are not receiving Working Tax Credit) or receiving Financial Support in accordance with the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 – please provide a letter from NASS.

If you wish to apply for free school meals, you can do so on the Hounslow council website or by following the link here.  If you are entitled but your child prefers a packed lunch, please still apply as it helps the school to receive extra funding.

End of the School Day

The end of the day collection is between 3.20pm and 3.30pm when parents are allowed on site. Teachers will escort their class out to the playground at 3.20pm. All children not collected within 10 minutes of the end of the school day will be taken to the school office where attempts will be made to contact the parent. If children are to be collected by someone other than the parent/carer, this must be indicated to a member of the office staff before collection.  If a parent/carer or alternative nominated adult is going to be late to collect their child, then they must contact the school office to notify them.  No pupil without permission from parents will be allowed to walk home alone or go with a different adult unless the school office is notified in advance.

Parking

Parking around the school at the beginning and end of the day is always a problem. We ask that you walk where possible or park a little further away and walk the short distance to the school.

Water, Fruit and Milk

Children are encouraged to bring in a bottle of water and a piece of fruit for mid-morning each day.

If you would like your child to have school milk, this can be arranged through Cool Milk at School Ltd. Please contact the school office for an application form, download it from our 'Letters to Parents' area or go to www.coolmilk.com
