Start of the School Day
The School day starts at 9:00am. The school gates open at 8:30am and there is adult supervision on the playground from 8:50am. If it is raining or very cold please do not drop your child if possible before 8:50am. If you are a working parent and need to drop your child earlier, our link Infant school run a breakfast club. Break-time
Break is held between 11:00 and 11:15am each day. Play equipment is available for the pupils to use and is organised by our Year 6 playground monitors.
School Lunches
Lunch time is from 12:30 - 1:30pm. Lunches are provided by Chartwell's. The facility offers a balanced and varied diet. An alternative menu for religious and dietary reasons can be provided.
Parents order their child's food in advance via ParentPay. A dinner
and dessert cost £2.30 and water is also available. Children who
bring packed lunches should ensure that the contents are wholesome
and healthy.
Free meals are available to the children of parents on Universal
Credit, Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance (Income based), an
Income-Related Employment and Support Allowance, Child Tax Credit
(providing you are not receiving Working Tax Credit) or receiving
Financial Support in accordance with the Immigration and Asylum Act
1999 – please provide a letter from NASS.
If you wish to apply for free school meals, you can do so on the

If you are entitled but your child prefers a packed lunch please
still apply as it helps the school to receive extra funding.
Assemblies
There are three whole school assemblies on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week, along with two class assemblies/reflection times on Tuesday and Thursday.
End of the School Day
The School day finishes at 3:30pm. The school gates are open from
3:25pm. Parents are welcome to wait in the school playground for
their child/children to come out of class. Teachers will
escort their class out to the playground at 3.30pm. All children
not collected within 10 minutes of the end of the school day will
be taken to the school office where attempts will be made to
contact the parent. If children are to be collected by someone
other than the parent/carer, this must be indicated to a member of
the office staff before collection. If a parent/carer or
alternative nominated adult is going to be late to collect their
child then then they must contact the school office to notify
them.
Parking
Parking around the school at the beginning and end of the day is
always a problem. We ask that you walk where possible, or park a
little further away and walk the short distance to the school.
Water, Fruit and Milk
Children are encouraged to bring in a bottle of water and a piece
of fruit for mid morning each day.
